Where to file
Departing from abroad
A flight plan is always filed with the ARO of the
departure aerodrome – never with your
home ARO. Departing from Tirana means filing with Tirana,
even when the destination is in North Macedonia. The ARO
then distributes the plan over AFTN to every unit
concerned, including Skopje.
After take-off: pass your airborne time to
the ARO you filed with. Without it the flight plan stays
inactive and the destination will not know to raise the
alarm if you fail to arrive.
